@foxes_in_love Looks like an empathy practice ..!
@foxes_in_love Venting and letting off steam... Well, the latter goes through the former...
@foxes_in_love If only more people understood this... 👆
@foxes_in_love Well, at least it didn’t involve a pain box :3
@foxes_in_love I need to learn this.
@foxes_in_love I really don't understand women
@foxes_in_love
I'm in this comic.
[meta] At what point does this become toxic? Like, if you hate your job that much, why are you doing it? If they only or mostly just complain about their job, isn't that toxic to everyone around them?
I do get the occasional annoyance, and venting can help lead to a solution, but if they're not looking for a solution at some point in the cycle it _will_ become toxic.
@foxes_in_love to share this I need to find amongst my friends one who knows both about Dune and about The Venting
@foxes_in_love
funny enough I didn't understand this until I was well into my 20s. What made me "get it" was actually an episode of "Parks and Recreation".
@foxes_in_love in the second and third panels I thought they switched to being upset that they were tuning out.
@foxes_in_love As someone whose mind always snaps to "Oh, this is a problem I need to help solve," this takes A LOT of effort to do, but there is value in just listening. If someone wants help or advice, they'll ask for it.
@foxes_in_love I feel attacked
@foxes_in_love You are now the Kwisatz Haderach of confidents
@foxes_in_love this is too cute
Something I am terrible at.
I don’t need to do that very often, but when I do, it’s usually because a friend is going through a divorce.
